Syrian Forces Push Against ISIS and Regime Loyalists
The article focused on the efforts of Syrian authorities to eliminate cells of the terrorist organization "ISIS" in Syria, especially after attacks targeting civilians occurred. Security agencies succeeded in dismantling a cell linked to "ISIS" in Homs countryside, confiscating explosive devices and bombs, and apprehending some of its members, including a high-ranking military leader, Khaled Raghda Biruni (Abu Hassan Dushka), who was considered the overall commander of the organization in Homs. Investigations indicated that the cell was planning to carry out terrorist attacks targeting places of worship and security patrols, with the aim of destabilizing security and stability. These security operations resulted in the death and injury of several security personnel and civilians. Meanwhile, small "ISIS" cells continue to pose an ongoing threat, despite the organization's decline in the region, with the international community providing financial and military support to fight terrorism.
