Portuguese Federation probes Ronaldo
The Portuguese Football Federation has initiated disciplinary action against Cristiano Ronaldo after his sudden departure from the national team camp and his dispute with coach Jorge Jesus. Ronaldo has been temporarily suspended pending the final decision, as part of urgent procedures, with the matter being handled under emergency measures. He is currently under investigation by the Disciplinary Committee. Ronaldo left the national team on September 30 following a disagreement over his not being selected to play in the match against Norway. He has apologized and agreed to the disciplinary action, with a possibility of returning after serving the suspension.
