Zidane's team starts rebuild with sixth division euro
Bordeaux, the six-time French champion, has signed with an investment group following sanctions due to financial violations that led to its relegation to the sixth tier of French football. The club was sold for a symbolic euro after accumulating debts of 26 million euros, which were reduced by half as part of a 12-year sustainability plan. The club, which has developed many players for the French national team, is now preparing to rebuild through a team of amateur players, with the option to sign five professional players.
