Democratic Committee Sues Trump Over Ads
The National Democratic Committee filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration over television advertisements funded with taxpayer money to promote political messaging, costing millions of dollars. The lawsuit argues that these ads, personally directed by Trump and reflecting his campaign rhetoric, are illegal because they are government-funded. It calls on the court to declare these ads unlawful and to stop the use of federal funds for their financing, at a time when early voting is underway for the midterm elections.
