Israeli Army Confronts Palestinian Murals
The Israeli Army launched a campaign in the West Bank on the occasion of the third anniversary of the October 7 operation. The operation targeted the demolition of memorials for Palestinian fighters and their images, aiming to undermine national symbols linked to Palestinian resistance. The operation began early Wednesday in Nablus and Jenin, involving the destruction of at least 50 memorials and the smashing of pictures and banners representing resistance symbols, in addition to the detention of more than 50 Palestinians. This campaign is part of Israel’s efforts to assert control over the land and weaken support for Palestinians, coinciding with widespread raids, arrests, and military operations against Palestinian supporters and wanted individuals. Sources confirmed that the objective is to remove symbols of resistance and curb support for terrorism, while Palestinians insist that these measures will not erase their national identity.
