Nobel Chemistry Award to French and Japanese Scientists
In 2026, scientists Henry Cagan and Kinsuo Sway were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their contributions to the development of asymmetric catalysis technology, which allows the guiding of chemical reactions to produce specific molecules selectively. These discoveries contribute to the pharmaceutical industry by enabling the design of tailored reactions that improve product efficacy and reduce side effects. This achievement is considered significant in guiding the development of drugs and medications and is regarded as a fundamental discovery that further advances the pharmaceutical industry. The winners receive a prize of 1.2 million dollars and hold prestigious academic positions.
