Badr Al Rzaiyaa Starts with Gulf Gold
The Saudi national football team achieved its first title during the tenure of President Badr Ruzayza of the Saudi Football Federation. They won the Gulf Cup in Jeddah just 37 days after he took office on August 30, 2023. This achievement marks an important morale-boosting milestone for the new phase extending until 2030. It comes after more than two decades of waiting for the Gulf Championship title and is considered the result of collaborative effort by the technical, administrative staff, and players. It is also the first major trophy the team has won under Ruzayza's leadership.
