Canadian PM visits Turkey for trade and security
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced his visit to Turkey from October 21 to 23 to strengthen bilateral relations. During the visit, he will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara and visit Istanbul. The goal of the visit is to enhance partnership between the two countries in areas such as trade, investment, energy, and defense, with an emphasis on expanding cooperation in sectors like energy, aviation, and advanced technologies. This visit comes as part of Canada's efforts to establish deeper ties with Turkey, especially following his meeting with President Erdoğan in July during the NATO summit and the launch of negotiations for a comprehensive free trade agreement between the two nations.
