West Bank tensions rise on October 7th anniversary
Israeli forces opened fire on a car in the West Bank, claiming it was an attempt to carry out a car-ramming attack, resulting in the death of a man and injuries to two others. Sources reported that Palestinian Mahmoud Adais (41 years old) was killed instantly. The incident signals a potential escalation of security tensions in the area, especially with the West Bank and crossings to Gaza Strip being closed until Wednesday in observance of the third anniversary of the October 2023 attacks. These measures come amid Israeli concerns over a possible Palestinian escalation, as they prepare for potential security scenarios.
