Trump Initiates Large-Scale Diesel Stock Withdrawal
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that European countries have agreed to withdraw large quantities of diesel fuel stockpiles to ease the rise in fuel prices linked to the war with Iran. The operation will begin immediately, with approximately 50 million barrels of diesel being drawn from European reserves over the course of 20 days, in response to pressure from Washington and international oil markets. This move comes after Washington requested Germany and France to evacuate emergency diesel stocks, with threats of possible sanctions on exports if they do not comply. The goal is to reduce pressure on fuel markets and to achieve price stability.
