Al-Fayed's legacy faces new allegations
The article discusses the allegations leveled against the late Egyptian businessman Mohamed Fayed, involving harassment and human trafficking. A London police investigation confirmed that nearly half of the women who reported claims of sexual assault by him are likely victims of human trafficking. Some survivors exploited this by smuggling women from Harrods to his private sites, with evidence of abuse both internally and externally, including sexual assaults. The police affirmed that over 70 testimonies from survivors display trafficking characteristics, with the number of confirmed cases involving individuals both inside and outside the UK. There is an official rejection from the Home Office regarding cases involving survivors living abroad, which hinders providing them with support and protection.
