Netanyahu Discusses Flydubai Pilot Incident
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about an attack aboard a Fly Dubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, during which the co-pilot stabbed or struck the Indian pilot with an axe as the plane approached Israel. The injured pilot bled heavily but was able to open the cockpit door, leading to an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The attacker was quickly subdued, and passengers confirmed that the flight concluded safely, and they arrived in Tel Aviv on a replacement flight. The exact type of weapon used remains unclear, while the attacker had been employed by the airline for eight months. An Israeli official also noted that four American citizens, who also held Israeli nationality, were among the passengers.
