Brazil and US to keep tariff talks
Brazil and the United States have reached a preliminary agreement to continue negotiations regarding tariffs between the two countries, following a constructive meeting in Milwaukee between officials from both sides. This development comes amid rising economic and political tensions, with the two parties discussing both tariff and non-tariff issues, and the United States committing to send negotiation proposals in the coming weeks. This progress occurs at a time of increasing concerns over external interference in the Brazilian presidential elections, amid a fierce competition between Lula da Silva and Jair Bolsonaro.
