Israeli pilots accused after Flydubai incident
Israeli sources revealed a security incident aboard a Fly Dubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, where a confrontation occurred inside the cockpit, forcing the plane to land in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The airline then dispatched a replacement aircraft to transport the passengers to Tel Aviv. Investigations indicate that the pilot may be of Omani nationality or that the co-pilot attempted to take control of the aircraft using the emergency axe, with accusations of violating pilot operating agreements that require pilots to be from countries with diplomatic relations with Israel. Israeli authorities have suspended Fly Dubai flights to Israel and commenced extensive investigations, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alleging an attempt to bring down the plane. Meanwhile, the Emirati side stated that the causes of the incident are still under investigation.
