Egyptian journalists from MetSaddesh detained
Egyptian authorities have detained six journalists from the "Mitsadqesh" news platform, which criticizes the government, and their whereabouts remain unknown. The platform confirmed that all detained journalists are practicing their work openly and have distinguished professional histories with well-known Egyptian media outlets. The platform has been verifying news since 2018, and the number of journalists detained in connection with their work in Egypt has reached 26, amidst human rights criticisms of the campaign targeting media and dissidents.
