Three vessels hit by projectiles in Hormuz
Three ships were hit by unidentified projectiles while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, including a oil tanker and two cargo ships, in a single incident amid ongoing tensions in this vital corridor for global oil supplies. This event comes within the context of escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, with Iran imposing a near-complete blockade of the strait using mines and targeting ships. However, reports have indicated that Iran has lost control of the passage after U.S. forces removed the mines and lifted the blockade.
