Pentagon praises Germany's defense efforts
The Pentagon praised Germany's commitment to increasing its defense spending and achieving the 3.5% of GDP target before 2035, with the aim of reaching 5% by 2029. This is part of a strategic shift reflecting the strengthening of its military capabilities. It also noted that American-German cooperation in the defense and industrial sectors is expanding, with a recent memorandum of understanding signed to enhance partnership in weapon production and military capacity development. This positions Germany as a model for allies in rapid rearmament and strategic transformation.
