CNBC: White House media bans violate press rights
American media figures condemned President Donald Trump's decision to ban three news organizations from entering the White House, considering it an attack on press freedom and a violation of the Constitution. Journalists and staff from CNN, MSNBC, and Politico pledged to defend their rights guaranteed by the First Amendment after Trump accused these outlets of spreading false news and took unprecedented measures to bar them. Despite the ban, some journalists continued to be present inside the White House, while experts affirmed that the decision is a clear violation of press freedom and contravenes the Constitution.
