Saudi Embassy discusses F-35 deal
The Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington commented on the U.S. F-35 fighter jet sale to the Kingdom, valued at over $24.3 billion, affirming that this deal reflects the strength of the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States and the ongoing development of defense cooperation. He pointed out that Saudi-U.S. security cooperation over the decades has contributed to regional stability and enhanced joint defensive capabilities. This deal will make Saudi Arabia the second country in the Middle East after Israel to possess these advanced stealth fighters, which could lead to significant shifts in the regional military balance.
