Israel Opposes Selling Fighters to Saudi
The Israeli Defense Establishment objects to the sale of 48 American F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, fearing it would diminish Israel's military superiority in the Middle East, despite the U.S. State Department's approval of the deal valued at $24.3 billion, which requires Congressional approval. The F-35 fighters are among the most advanced aircraft and are currently used by Israel as the only country in the region. The deal aims to enhance Saudi Arabia's defensive capabilities without altering the regional military balance.
