Trump blocks three media outlets from White House
U.S. President Donald Trump announced the banning of three media outlets—CNN, MSNAO, and Politico—from entering the White House, citing their repeated publication of false news. He considered these organizations, including MSNAO, which Trump claimed changed its name due to declining credibility, to be involved in spreading fabricated stories that harm the functioning of the media industry, including illegal government messages, according to his words. He threatened to add more outlets to the list of banned entities and demanded that the media only report the truth about him or his government. He believed this decision is part of an effort to ensure more credible journalism. CNN stated that this measure constitutes an illegal assault on press freedom.
