Qatar Denies Hamas Funding, Supports Gaza
Qatar has reaffirmed that it did not provide funds to Hamas; rather, its support was directed towards the Palestinian people in Gaza, especially vulnerable families, through humanitarian aid that includes food, medicine, fuel, and electricity. The International Media Office clarified that these aid shipments were sent via clear and transparent mechanisms, in coordination with the United Nations and Israeli authorities. Qatar did not directly interfere in the delivery of the aid, which passed through Israel with the approval of successive Israeli governments and the involvement of their security agencies. Additionally, Qatar emphasized that the Israeli campaigns against it aim to defame its reputation and to manipulate its name in Israel’s internal debates, especially with the approaching elections. Qatar reaffirmed its commitment to its humanitarian and diplomatic stance, remaining unaffected by these campaigns, and continued to support the Palestinian people and facilitate the flow of aid into Gaza.
