French mag: Mossad hacked Elysée advisor
The French magazine "Chalange" revealed that the Israeli Mossad agency hacked the phone of Dóra Katomti, an advisor to the President of the European Commission on North Africa and the Middle East, at the Élysée Palace. The hacking was carried out using phishing techniques through a fake message believed to be from Palestinian authorities, which she responded to. The incident points to repeated Israeli espionage efforts, including the use of programs like Pegasus, which have previously been employed to infiltrate the phones of French and European officials. This raises concerns about ongoing espionage operations targeting political and diplomatic figures across European countries. France has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident, and the evidence remains officially unconfirmed.
