Under the title "Naming National Figures for Saudi Universities and Institutions," the name of Prince Muaad bin Abdul Rahman was given to the Saudi Electronic University in Riyadh, as a tribute to his national efforts and contributions across various fields. It is worth noting that Prince Muaad was a statesman, the brother of the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman, born in 1918. He was educated in Islamic and Arabic sciences and held high-ranking positions such as Minister of Interior and Minister of Finance, in addition to serving as an advisor to kings and government entities. He was also known for his love of knowledge and established Riyadh's first public library in 1944. The decision to rename the university serves as a reminder of his journey and emphasizes the role of statesmen in building the nation. Furthermore, in 2017, the General Auditing Bureau named its main hall after Prince Muaad, in memory of his legacy as its founder.
