The head of the Israeli Internal Security Agency (Shin Bet), Dovd Zini, affirmed that Israel will pursue all elements of Hamas linked to the October 7, 2023 attack, whether planners or operatives, regardless of their location around the world. These statements emphasize the security agencies' efforts to capture these individuals deep within tunnels, secret command centers, and anywhere else worldwide, leaving no distant place or opportunity for escape from pursuit. These remarks come in the context of Israeli commitments not to target Hamas officials in Qatar, accompanied by warnings that they could be pursued if they leave Qatar. This came amid participation by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog in a ceremony honoring Shin Bet personnel who thwarted operations related to Iran and Hamas.
