Israeli media outlets have revealed that weapons and ammunition were stolen from army warehouses during the war, including anti-tank "Lao" missiles, mortar shells, and car bomb drones. These items have ended up in criminal organizations, posing a threat of smuggling and use in future attacks. Reports indicate that widespread thefts have occurred in recent years, coinciding with increased use of weapons and drones in criminal activities. Officials fear that these weapons could trigger a security disaster if criminal organizations manage to exploit them. Investigations have shown that military depots have become open markets for illicit arms, with thefts amounting to hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition. The dangers are rising as drones become more prevalent and are used for smuggling operations and attacks.
