German authorities announced the arrest of a 24-year-old Iraqi man who was planning to carry out terrorist attacks inside the country, targeting a church in Bremen. Investigations revealed that the suspect had adopted the ideology of ISIS and sought to recruit accomplices. He was able to acquire a firearm and attempted to recruit at least one person to participate in the attacks. He was detained in the Barnim region of Brandenburg and placed in custody. Despite the decline in ISIS activity, the threat from the organization remains ongoing.
