Electronic Arts has re-released 25 classic games through Steam, GOG, and its own app: seven anniversary editions with enhancements and 18 in their original versions. The titles include games from the Road Rash, Wing Commander, and Ultima series. The enhancements address compatibility issues, improve control and display options, add support for modern controllers, and allow some games to run at up to 60 frames per second. Independent developers and fans contributed to the work. The company also recovered materials from an archive of around 20,000 historical items, digitizing nearly 6,000 and preserving around 2,500 hours of recordings. The enhanced editions cost $9.99 each, while the classic versions cost $4.99. Promotional offers are available on Steam and GOG from November 5 to 19.
