Google Chrome experiments with new fingerprint login

Google is testing a new feature for the Chrome browser on Android that adds a biometric authentication step before automatically filling saved passwords, such as fingerprint or face recognition. The goal of the feature is to enhance user security and prevent unauthorized access to passwords, especially in situations where someone else might have access to the phone. Google began experimenting with this feature in September 2024, and it is currently available in Chrome Canary versions, but it has not yet reached the stable release. If officially launched, it will provide additional security measures to prevent direct access to passwords without biometric verification.
