Google Phone app recovers a key feature
Google is preparing to reintroduce the Contacts tab as a bottom tab in the Google Phone app to improve accessibility after it was removed in a previous update in 2025. This feature will allow users quick direct access to contacts without needing to open the side menu, making it easier to manage and search for names more efficiently. The update is gradually being rolled out in beta version 240 of the app, as the feature undergoes testing before a wider release. This change reflects Google's response to user feedback, aimed at enhancing the user experience and making it more streamlined and convenient.
