Northumbria Police stopped Newcastle defender Amar Dedić and a friend in the Darras Hall area after receiving a report of two men carrying a bow and arrows near a reservoir at Harlow Hill. Six patrol cars took part in the search. Police seized the equipment and questioned the men, then confirmed there was no threat to the public. The incident remains under investigation. The bow and arrows are believed to have been for recreational use, and Dedić is not expected to face disciplinary action from his club.
