Jordan’s Al-Faisaly have dismissed Egyptian coach Tarek Mostafa and appointed Portugal’s João Mota as his successor, with Hassouna Al-Sheikh named assistant coach. The decision came after the team’s 3–1 defeat to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Taawoun—their third loss in four matches in the AFC Champions League Two. Al-Faisaly sit third in Group C with three points. Mostafa had led the club to the domestic Super Cup title, and the team currently lead the league with 14 points after seven rounds.
