Salah's Missed Equalizer
Trabzonspor lost 1–0 at home to Freiburg in the third round of the UEFA Conference League’s league phase, with Lukas Kübler scoring the only goal in the 14th minute. Mohamed Salah missed the clearest chance to equalize in the 60th minute, shooting from close range straight into the goalkeeper’s hands, to the dismay of the Trabzonspor fans. Despite the defeat, the Turkish side remained eighth with six points from three matches, in a position that qualifies directly for the round of 16. They were ahead of Ajax and Sint-Truiden on goal difference before those teams played their matches.
