The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Sunday the appointment of Nigeria’s Samson Adamu as secretary-general. He had served in the role on an interim basis since March, following the resignation of Veron Mosengo-Omba. CAF President Patrice Motsepe said the appointment followed a recruitment process and interviews with candidates. Adamu has worked for the confederation for eight years and has overseen competitions, tournaments and events.
