Zekri eyes Ahli vacancy
Saudi Al Ahli’s management decided to dismiss Dutch coach Marino Pusic during the team’s match against Al Shabab, which ended in a 6–1 defeat for Al Ahli in the Roshn League. The club’s management floated the name of Algerian coach Noureddine Zekri and contacted him; he gave his preliminary approval. Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição was also mentioned, though no official contact has been made with him so far. Pusic had led Al Ahli in 17 matches, recording 11 wins, one draw and five defeats.
