Al-Ahli await Toney
Englishman Ivan Toney is likely to miss Al Ahli’s match against Al Shabab in the Roshn League on Friday, as he had not returned to the team by the time this report was prepared. He is expected to join Al Ahli’s squad in Qatar ahead of Monday’s AFC Champions League Elite match against Al Sadd. Toney had returned to London to appear in court over an assault charge, which he denies. Southwark Crown Court has provisionally set 12 June 2028 as the trial date, and he was released on unconditional bail.
