Tebas Addresses Sports Court After Madrid Crisis
Javier Tebas, the President of La Liga, emphasized that his remarks describing Real Madrid's media strategy as being similar to Nazi propaganda were merely an adaptation of propaganda techniques, and not an association with Nazi ideology. The issue has been referred by the Spanish National Sports Council to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which may impose penalties such as a warning, a fine, or suspension. Tebas responded strongly, criticizing the Council's decision and clarifying that he was only referring to propaganda methods, not ideology, expressing confidence that the judiciary will resolve the matter. This escalation comes amid intense tensions between Tebas and Real Madrid, especially after his call for the club's resignation following remarks that were condemned and considered offensive, with the possibility that judicial decisions could suspend his work or impose fines.
