Betis player suspended for assault
The Disciplinary Committee of the Spanish Football Federation has imposed a four-match suspension on Real Betis midfielder Fekundo Bernal following his ejection during his team's 5-2 loss to Barcelona. According to the disciplinary report, Bernal assaulted Barcelona forward Lamine Jamal by grabbing his neck and then delivering two headbutts, despite Jamal having received a yellow card prior to the incident. This punishment is limited to the minimum penalty and will cause him to miss Betis' upcoming matches against Celta Vigo, Málaga, Elche, and the match against Sevilla on November 22, where the team is currently ranked fourth with 19 points in La Liga. Additionally, the club's sporting director, Manno Fakhard, has been suspended for two matches and fined financially due to misconduct.
