Yalçın replaces Montella as Turkey head
Sergen Yalçınen has been appointed as the head coach of the Turkish national football team for a four-year period, replacing Vincenzo Montella. The goal is to enhance the team's performance after a challenging period marked by four losses in the UEFA Nations League and failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Yalçınen, who distinguished himself as both a player and a coach within major Turkish clubs such as Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Beşiktaş, is considered one of the prominent figures in Turkish football. He is trusted to improve the national team's level and address the current challenges.
