Yalçın appointed Turkey coach after Montella
Sergen Yalçın has been appointed as the coach of the Turkish national football team for a four-year term, succeeding Italian Vincenzo Montella, who resigned following a decline in the team's results. Yalçın has extensive experience, having previously managed Beşiktaş Club and won a domestic double with them. He has also coached several Turkish clubs and played internationally, scoring five goals in 37 matches. The Turkish national team is preparing for upcoming matches against Belgium and France in the UEFA Nations League qualifiers, as Yalçın strives to restore the team's balance and improve its performance after a recent series of defeats.
