CAN 2025 decision date announced
The article addresses the dispute within sports arbitration between Senegal and Morocco over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title, which was stripped from Senegal and awarded to Morocco following controversial events in the final match held in Rabat. The International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is expected to deliver its final ruling on the case by the end of November 2026, after a hearing held in October, during which deliberations commenced and are based on the legal grounds of the decision. Senegal claims that the decision by CAF to annul the match result and count their loss as 0-3 is illegal, and that the appeal is still under consideration. Meanwhile, the final match was marked by protests from Senegalese players before the result was officially annulled.
