KAS to crown African Champion in November
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne announced that it will issue its decision regarding Senegal's appeal to revoke the Africa Cup of Nations title by the end of November 2026. Senegal challenged the decision of the CAF (Confederation of African Football), which declared Morocco the winner of the tournament after some controversial incidents. The case involves legal and procedural issues related to the appeal of the Senegalese club, which was forced to leave the pitch for 14 minutes before the match resumed. The CAF annulled the original result and awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory, prompting Senegal to appeal this decision. It is expected that CAS will issue its ruling after examining the legal bases and arguments presented, noting that the final decision will be binding and based on international arbitration laws.
