Ex-Al Hilal President Seeks Inzaghi Exit
Prince Abdullah bin Muwas, former president of Al Hilal Club, has called for Italian coach Simone Inzaghi to step down from his position as the team's technical director after the current season ends. He emphasized that the situation with Al Hilal under Inzaghi is confusing, despite the team not falling short in results. He mentioned that the results are not bad, but the team's performance is not noticeable. He pointed out that the team is not playing at the same level the fans are accustomed to, which could be due to the rising standard of competing clubs or unmet expectations. It is worth noting that Inzaghi has been coaching Al Hilal since June 2023, leading the team to win the King Abdulaziz Cup, securing second place in the Saudi league, and achieving a perfect record in the first two rounds of the AFC Champions League.
