Nikola takes over Venice role
Venezia Italian football club has appointed its former coach, Davide Nicola, as their new head coach, succeeding Giovanni Stroppa, who was dismissed following a series of defeats. This move is part of an effort to halt the team's declining results, as Venezia currently sits at the bottom of the Italian league standings. Nicola, who has been without a team since March 2026, brings experience from clubs such as Udinese, Genoa, and Cagliari, achieving his best league results with the latter. It is worth noting that the club began the season with four consecutive losses and conceded 16 goals, which is the worst defensive record in the competition. This marks the fourth coaching change since the season started.
