Court fines Marmoush over insurance

A British court imposed a fine of 220 British pounds on Egyptian player Omar Marmoush, the forward for Tottenham Hotspur, for failing to insure his luxury car, a McLaren valued at £250,000. Marmoush was convicted in Tayside Court in October following a previous fine of £100 that was imposed in June for not insuring the car and for a court-ordered driving ban. He did not present any defense or respond to the charges. Including court costs and additional fees, his total fine was increased to £408. This occurred amid his lack of cooperation with British authorities, who operate a system allowing secret trials for certain offenses. Marmoush, 27, is now awaiting his first goal with Tottenham after six matches.
