Refereeing expert deems Al Wasl player deserved red
Summary: Former referee Saad Al-Kathiry confirmed that the Emirati player from Al Wasl was deserving of a red card during the Al Ahli Saudi match in the AFC Champions League, due to his disgraceful conduct which included covering his mouth with his hand and insulting an Al Ahli player. Such behavior warrants a dismissal according to the rules. Although Video AssistantREFEREE technology reviewed the incident, the referee did not make a decisive decision to send him off, leading to controversy and tension in the match, and highlighting the need for more decisive enforcement of the regulations in such cases.
