UEFA and CONCACAF challenge Infantino after FIFA Forward
Pressures on FIFA President Gianni Infantino are increasing from the European Union and CONCACAF to release more than two billion dollars from FIFA’s financial reserves to the member associations, without the need to sell World Cup commercial rights. A proposal led by Alexander Ceferin and Victor Montagliani suggests paying each association 10 million dollars and 36 million dollars to regional confederations, leaving $2.6 billion in reserves afterward. Relevant parties will discuss this proposal at the upcoming FIFA Council meeting.
