Zamalek and Al-Ahly Clash Amid Crises
Al-Zamalek and Al-Ahly will meet in an Egyptian football derby on Sunday evening at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the sixth round of the league. Both teams are aiming to secure a victory despite their difficult circumstances. Zamalek is experiencing administrative crises that have led to a suspension of their registration and a decline in the form of their star players. They currently occupy second place with 13 points, just one point ahead of Al-Ahly based on goal difference. Meanwhile, Al-Ahly is affected by unsatisfactory results and the tense atmosphere among their passionate fans. They are in third place, with an equal number of points, relying on good results since the Moroccan coach Amouta took over, despite some criticisms. The match will be officiated by an international refereeing team, and expectations indicate a fierce competition between the two sides, with each team eager to improve their position in the league standings.
