Arsenal overtakes Leeds in race for top position
Arsenal regained their balance and narrowly defeated Leeds United 2-1 in the sixth round of the English Premier League, after falling behind to a goal and with substitute Bruno Guimarães scoring the winning goal in the final minutes. The team raised its tally to 15 points in second place, one point behind the top-ranked Manchester City, while Leeds remained with 9 points in fifth place and suffered their first loss against Arsenal since 2003. Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya excelled, making several saves to keep the team in the lead, and captain Declan Rice made a strong return from the start, despite his previous absence from international matches. The team faced significant attacking pressure from Leeds at the beginning of the game and managed to equalize after a shot by Mikel Güler scored, before Guimarães scored the winning goal after a pass from Rice with a backheel.
