Morocco and Senegal to announce Kass decision on Africa Cup final
The dispute over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal is nearing resolution. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has completed its hearings and is continuing its deliberations to issue a possible ruling between October 18 and 22. The case concerns the final match held in Rabat, in which Senegal won 1-0, but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) later decided to declare Senegal the loser and awarded the title to Morocco. This decision prompted Senegal to appeal to CAS. It is worth noting that the disagreement centers around Senegalese players leaving the pitch during the match, with each side citing relevant laws and regulations of the game and CAF rules. Efforts are underway to reach a final decision that accurately reflects the details of the case.
